ALGREN 40mm Navy Two Tone Steel
The Algren takes its name from Nelson Algren, who wrote Chicago as it actually was. It's the only cushion case we make, a square softened at the corners rather than a circle, and it comes in more dial and case combinations than anything else in the line.
Navy reads near-black indoors and turns unmistakably blue the moment you step outside. In two-tone steel, with gold accents.
Forty millimeters, cushion-shaped, on a Swiss Made Ronda quartz movement under a domed sapphire crystal. It ships with a 22mm Milanese mesh bracelet and an Italian leather strap, both quick-release, and the caseback is fully engravable.

- Case: 40mm cushion shaped case, stainless steel, 10.7mm depth (including domed crystal), 48mm lug-to-lug and 22mm between lugs. Bracelet width is 22mm.
- Movement: Swiss Made Ronda Quartz
- Functions: Hours, minutes, seconds and date functions.
- Glass: Domed sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating.
- Dial: Matte colored dial. The index is a combination of arabic numerals and markers applied and filled with Super-LumiNova. Printed second track with raised markers and filled with lume at every hour. Round bevel date at 3 o’clock with printed frame.
- Crown: Stainless steel onion crown with embossed Hampden logo.
- Bands: 22mm polished surgical quality 316L Milanese mesh stainless steel two-piece band. Includes additional Italian leather strap with stainless steel buckle; easily interchangeable (no tools required).
- Water rating: 5 ATM / 50 meters / 164 feet

I have had my Model 2 no since April commands a good amount of my wrist time (I have a lot of watches)! It is a very versatile watch coming with both a leather strap and bracelet. The bracelet and strap are quick change requiring no tools. You can adapt the watch from super casual, casual, office, night out or formal all in a matter of seconds. The large black dial with gold even Arabic numbers and index markers for the odds, date at the 3 o'clock position and a nice polished case gives it the overall do it all watch. Quartz movement is highly accurate! Buy it, wear it and love it as I do!

I wanted to write and say thank you so much for the wonderful engraved watch. My Friend Ron surprised me around my son Lincoln's birthday with the Algren model; white face and back engraved with my son's silhouette and signature. This image is from one of his last photos before he unexpectedly passed away in 2024, at 19 years young. It was taken in a place overlooking the pacific ocean during sunset that is very special to both of us. The detail and emotion captured in the engraving is incredible.
The watch itself is fantastic. The quality and craftsmanship of the timepiece, and the beautiful engraving, make this one of my favorite timepieces. I wear it all the time because it looks and wears great, and and it makes me feel closer to the memory of my son. I don't have any other watches in my collection that are so unique.
